Chicken piccata is an easy recipe that only requires frying your chicken with a breaded cover made up of flour, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese. After frying your chicken, you need to prepare the sauce with butter, wine, lemon juice, and lemon zest.

- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 lemon
- Lemon zest
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- Vegetable oil
- 1 cup of flour
- ½ cup of white wine
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of pepper
- ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup of capers
Cut chicken into fillets
Cover your chicken fillets with kitchen paper and flatten
Prepare the breaded cover by adding the flour and salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese
Mix well until it is completely uniform
Add the chicken fillets to the preparation and cover them thoroughly
Prepare the pan with oil and 2 tablespoons of butter
Fry the chicken fillets until they golden on both sides
Sauce for chicken piccata
Take the same pan where the chicken was prepared and add two additional tablespoons of butter
Add the wine to the mix and stir until uniform
Add the juice of one lemon to the uniform mix
Immediately after, add 1 tablespoon of lemon zest
Add the capers and stir
Low the heat to the minimum and let it boil on low heat for 5 minutes

- Chicken piccata is an excellent food for a romantic night with your partner if you're not worried about calories.
- If you're a vegetarian or have vegetarian guests, a piccata version uses tofu instead of chicken.
- You can prepare a low-fat version of chicken piccata by skipping the frying step and replacing it by grilling on the stove. The flavor is different, though.
- To enhance the taste, you can simmer the chicken for 5 minutes in the sauce before serving everything.
