Useful tips:
  • If you want to store boiled sweet potatoes to save them for later, remember that they last for 5 up to days in the refrigerator. We recommend thawing the sweet potatoes if they are frozen before heating them in the oven or the microwave when you take it back.
  • To caramelize your sweet potatoes and get a sweeter recipe with browned edges, you could roast them instead of boiling them.
  • Peeling before boiling is not necessary. You can keep the peel to have the full benefits and nutrients in sweet potatoes. But if you leave the peel on, you will need to boil sweet potatoes for a longer time, and it may be difficult to pierce them through the skin to try the texture.
  • If you’re peeling, use a potato peeler because this tubercle is hard, and it can be dangerous to do it with a knife.
