This is athree-stage recipe because you need to cook the onions, the green beans, and the mushrooms in separate parts using different cooking methods. You will bake the onions, fry the mushrooms, and boil the green beans. The onions are baked with flour, breadcrumbs, and Kosher salt. The mushrooms are boiled with Koshersalt. The mushrooms are prepared with Kosher salt, black pepper, garlic, nutmeg, flour, chicken broth, and milk. After everything is done, you still need to join everything and bake for 15 extra minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 4 tablespoons of Kosher salt
  • 2 onions
  • 1 pound of green beans
  • 12 ounces of mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 cup of milk

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour, breadcrumbs, and Kosher salt
  • Slice 2 onions and add them to the mix
  • Prepare a baking tray and spread the mix
  • Bake for 30 minutes
  • Cook the green beans
  • Fry 12 ounces of mushrooms
  • Add two garlic cloves, nutmeg, flour, chicken broth and milk
  • Join the prepared mushrooms with the green beans and onions
  • Bake for 15 minutes

Notes

Useful tips:
  • This is a 3-stage recipe, but you can speed up the cooking process by cooking different stages simultaneously, as recommended in the table above.
  • If you want a thicker, cream-like texture, you could add some cornflour to the mix before the final baking step. Mix the tip of a teaspoon in half a cup of water and when it is homogeneous, add it to the preparation and stir before taking it to the oven.
  • You can have a slightly different flavor depending on the ingredients you use to prepare the chicken broth. You can always boil the chicken and take out the water with no other ingredient, but we recommend using vegetables and various spices if you want it to be tasty. You can also buy chicken broth or use instant or microwave soup without the noodles.
  • If you prepared chicken broth with actual chicken, an excellent option would be to create a dish that includes green bean casserole, chicken, and a side dish (rice, salad, toast, or bread)
