Step 1: Chop the hard boiled eggs and take them to a bowl with mayonnaise

Now, it is time to add the rest of the ingredients. Depending on how much tuna you want in the salad, it can be 2-6 ounces of Albacore tuna. To give your salad a particular taste, we recommend using 1 tablespoon of red onion, 1 tablespoon of red wine vinegar, salt, and pepper to your taste.

Notes

Useful tips:
  • If you buy tuna at the grocery store, you may find different types: solid white tuna, also known as Albacore tuna, and chunk light tuna. We usually recommend solid Albacore tuna because it gives texture to the salad. If you prefer a creamy salad, you can try the other type or mix both.
  • If you’re thinking of saving tuna salad with hard boiled eggs, take it to the fridge right away. It shouldn’t stay at room temperature for over an hour because eggs and tomatoes won’t hold such a long time. In the refrigerator, it lasts for up to one week without a problem.
