For this honey glazed baked ham recipe, you only need to prepare the honey glaze and bake the ham for 1 hour and 15 minutes. It is easy to do, and it takes little time.
The honey glaze is made in a water bath by joining dark corn syrup, honey, and butter. Then, we recommend scoring the ham's skin and sticking cloves all over before brushing the ham with the honey glaze we prepared earlier.

Notes

Useful tips:
  • If you bought fresh ham, you could trim away the layer of fat underneath the rind. But if you leave it, it will end up crispy and glazing delicious.
  • Do not simmer the glaze for a long time. Just enough to make it homogeneous. If you simmer too much, it will turn into a hard caramel.
  • Once in the oven, you can reapply the glaze to your honey glazed baked ham every 30 minutes for a juicy appeal.
