Notes

Useful Tips:
  • Consider rinsing the peanuts before washing. A good rinse will be done using cool water for 30 seconds to 1 minute. You can do this by hand or by using a strainer.
  • Add more garlic to make a cleaner and deeper flavor within the peanuts.
  • Add more dried chili peppers to increase the intensity of the spice level within the peanuts.
  • It is generally best to start with less spice and work your way up through batches to ensure that the flavor is enjoyable rather than overpowering.
  • Use different kinds of spices to create entirely new flavors of boiled peanuts. This makes it easy for you to experiment and make each batch your own.
  • Avoid using peanuts with broken shells to ensure flavor consistency when creating a new batch of peanuts. Broken shells can increase the overall potency of the flavor.
  • Boil the peanuts longer to make them tenderer. This is a complete matter of preference.
  • Consider adding boiled peanuts to some of your other food dishes. They can accommodate chicken well and also make excellent additions to a salad.
