How to Boil Pearl Barley (Short Summary)

Take 500 grams of pearl barley and rinse it before adding to 1.5 liters of boiled water. Take the pearl barley out and let them cool. Take a liter of water and add salt and sunflower oil to it. Bring it to a boil and then add the pearl barley to it. Let it cook inside the boiled solution for 25-30 minutes and then serve.

  • 5 liter of water
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
  • 500 grams of pearl barley

Instructions
 

  • Add 1.5 Liters of Water to a Container
  • Bring the Water to a Boil
  • Take 500 grams of Pearl Barley
  • Add Water and Rinse
  • Place the Barley in the Boiled Water and Boil It
  • Sieve Out the Pearl Barley
  • Take One Liter of Water
  • Add a Tablespoon of Salt
  • Add Two Tablespoons of Sunflower Oil
  • Bring to a Boil
  • Add the Pearl Barley to the Boiled Water
  • Boil for 25-30 minutes to Cook

Notes

Some useful tips you can make use of are:
  1. Add more additives before the last boiling. Bay leaves and black peppercorns can add to the taste
  2. Adding more salt can help the pearl barley cook more
  3. Clean your pearl barley by running water over them and passing it through a sieve
