Boiled mushrooms are a great thing to have with different meals or on their own. They are a great natural snack option. When it comes to how to boil mushrooms, you just need to follow a simple process step by step. The only ingredients you require are water, salt, black peppercorns, bay leaves, and the mushrooms. Simply add the salt, bay leaves and peppercorns to the water and bring the water to boiling point. While you are doing the first boiling step, peel the mushrooms, and then add them to the already boiled water. Boil for a further five minutes, then take your mushrooms out and serve them.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 liters of water
  • ½ tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of black peppercorns
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 300 grams of peeled mushrooms

Instructions
 

  • Add 2 liters of water to a boiling utensil
  • Add half a tablespoon of salt to the water
  • Add one tablespoon black peppercorns to the mixture
  • Add 3 pieces of bay leaves to the solution
  • Bring the solution to a boil
  • Peel 300grams of mushrooms to boil
  • Take off the boiling water off the stove and place the peeled mushrooms inside

Notes

Here are some useful tips to help you bring the most to this recipe and to boiled mushrooms in general:
  • Increase the amount of salt, black peppercorns, and bay leaves as you see fit.
  • Make sure you clean your mushrooms properly after peeling them, so nothing remains on them. If something does, it will affect the boiling.
  • Add some other natural tasting additions if you want to bring more taste to your boiled mushrooms. Mint is something that would help.
